Today is our fantastic intern Colin Kessler’s last day with Contract Innovation before heading back to university.

Colin’s work expanding our Unreal Engine based synthetic test environment to support Driver-in-the-Loop testing of large and off-highway vehicles is already generating significant customer interest and provides an excellent facility for further enhancing the performance and robustness of our advanced driveline and active suspension control software platforms.

We have been hugely impressed with Colin’s work ethic and professionalism throughout his time with us and wish him every success with the next stage of his studies.

The WMG Internship Programme was instrumental in placing Colin with us and we look forward to working with them in future.

Innovate UK Funding

Contract Innovation are excited to announce that, working with our project partners Involution Technologies, we have secured funding from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency within the ‘Catalysing Green Innovation: strand 2: Securing the future of ZEV’ competition.

Involution are developing an electric drive train to be fitted into the largest HGV’s enabling full electric, zero emissions operation. The Invo-CVT is targeted to be retro fitted into the existing vehicles and to be cost competitive against diesel powertrains on new HGV’s.

Contract Innovation will deploy our proprietary library of eDrive control software and our extensive vehicle and component level simulation capabilities to complete both performance prediction and dog clutch shift optimisation activities required to demonstrate the ability of the novel powertrain layout to match and exceed the attributes of direct drive competitors.

We are very much looking forward to collaborating with Involution Technologies and to the successful outcome of the project.
